Nova Scotia gas prices are at their lowest point in a year and diesel is below 90 cents per litre today.
The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board set the minimum price of regular unleaded gasoline at 90.4 cents per litre in the greater Halifax area, down six cents.
The minimum price of a litre of ultra-low sulfur diesel is 87.6 cents, the lowest price in years. It costs 4.9 cents less than it did Thursday.
Diesel is at its lowest price since some time before the board began setting prices in October 2009.
A litre of gas and diesel cost a little bit more in the other five prices zones, with the highest prices in Cape Breton at 92.3 cents for gas and and 89.6 cents for diesel.
The maximum prices are two or 2.1 cents per litre higher, depending on the price zone. Most retailers sell at the minimum.
