18 Holes of Championship Golf – Designed by noted golf architect Phil Wogan in 1966, the Country Club of Halifax offers 18 holes of challenging golf. With three sets of tees and playing at 6, 738 yards from the tips at par 72, the course is designed for players of all abilities. From the beginner and junior golfer to the most experienced low handicap player, every member can test their skills on one of the best championship layouts in Massachusetts.
Membership in this private club offers its members the luxury only a private club can offer. Play, entertain friends and relax knowing all of your needs will be attended to by our dedicated staff. Whether you just finished 18, are keeping in shape in our fitness room, or are coming to the club for a relaxing dinner, you will feel right at home.
A fully equipped Pro Shop can provide you with all of your golfing needs. From custom fittings of your golf clubs, to bag storage, to a wide variety of clothes and golf accessories, the Country Club of Halifax is equipped to help make your golfing days enjoyable.
Our PGA Golf Professional and his staff of assistants can help improve your game with private or group lessons, short and long game, driving, putting and chipping. If your game needs some attention, private lessons from one of New England’s most respected Golf Professionals may be just what the doctor ordered.
Beyond golf, our members have access to a fully equipped fitness center, members only lounge, spa and massage treatments.
Enjoy a casual dining in Shanks Restaurant with friends and family. Our menu will surely satisfy your appetite with a variety of outstanding food and service. As an active member, you can also participate in the many social events the Club offers. Each month we offer our members and their guests a variety of special wine tastings, themed dinners, Member-Guest tournaments, and holiday parties.

Membership Types
This family-friendly club has memberships to match your individual needs. All membership categories allow access to the practice facility, fitness room and restaurant.
Unrestricted Memberships
- Unlimited play on all days except Mondays – reserved for corporate and social outings
- Unlimited practice range privileges
- Fitness and Member Lounge facilities
- Voting rights in annual election of Officers
Restricted Members
- Unlimited play on all days except Mondays – reserved for corporate and social outings and holidays. Weekend and holiday play may not begin until 11:00 am
Family Memberships
- Consists of one Unrestricted and one Restricted Membership with each category having playing privileges as noted above. Each Family Membership may include Family Junior Members restricted to the playing privileges for Junior Members. Additional fees for Family Junior Members may apply.
Junior Memberships
- Unlimited play on all weekdays except Mondays – reserved for corporate and social outings. Play on weekends and holidays may not begin before 1:00 pm
Business Memberships
- Two individuals may be designated as Business Members – both are Unrestricted Memberships. Unlimited play on all days except Mondays – reserved for corporate and social outings
