5. Re: Taxi or public transport from Ferry Terminal
Actually, it hasn't worked very well. Maryan, I tried your suggestions and the Maritime bus only has transport at 9pm (doesn't help) and fundygirl, I did phone and not really any help there either.
The only option we have is to take the car rental at the North Sydney location. I can't believe the prices $60/ per day for the lowest end car possible, Huyandi accent, which is $12 more /per day than the 2 locations downtown and at the airport. Usually airport locations are more, not in this case.
We have rented a car in Deer Lake, NL($51/pd)and in Moncton($37/pd) for this trip, both less money than in North Sydney. This is the highest rental I have seen and would discourage me from going to CB, had I discovered this earlier.
I was so surprised at this price, I checked Hawaii, and sure enough cars are cheaper to rent there than in North Sydney.
People say to stay home to travel, as our Canadian dollar is low, but from this experience I would say, it doesn't help. Prices are higher here; at least for rental cars. Ok, I'll quit ranting as I am off topic.
