We have three major car rental companies in Sydney, including Discount Car Rentals, Enterprise Rent a Car, and Budget, as well as Avis, Alamo and National. You can book a rental car by either phoning the companies directly, or by visiting the Kiosk in the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion upon arrival.

What is the significance of the Big Fiddle?

The Big Fiddle is a representation of the heritage in Cape Breton and reminds us of our unique musical background. There is a video featuring the making of the fiddle that plays continuously within the lighthouse theatre, inside the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion.

Is the bar open on cruise ship days?

The Flavor on the Water Bar is open on the second floor of the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion on cruise ship days. There is an elevator located on the first floor.

You can get lobster at Lobster Shanty, located on the Port of Sydney Dockside. Governor’s Pub has lobster, depending on the season. But you will find plenty of fresh seafood most of the restaurants listed above. Also, you can purchase seafood chowder at Flavor on the Water.
